Social Concerns deals with issues that are meant to help make our community a better place. We try any way we can to help those in our community who are less fortunate. This Committee serves as an outreach to the community by sponsoring blood drives, assistance and ministry to shut-ins, feeding the children and spending time with the children at the Juvenile Detention Center. We provide presents for families who cannot afford presents at Christmas, work with DHS, Habitat for Humanity and with Inter Faith Pre School. We have an Angel Tree at Christmas for senior citizens and send greeting cards to our homebound for special occasions and birthdays and we also send cards to the sick and people who have lost loved ones. The regular meetings are on the 1st Thursday of every month at 6:00p.m. For more information please contact Carole Hargrave @ 646-9456.
